Why the move?
Because sadly, some landlords aren’t welcoming to Mom & Pop businesses, and we’ve had enough.
Brian and Amber Staffa here – we’re the local owners of TJ’s who took it over from Stem Holdings in 2024.
We’ve been trying to get our lease renewed and secured since we got here. The lease was part of our deal to buy the business, but the landlord didn’t like corporate Stem being replaced by a small business owner. Every time we get close to coming to terms, the landlord adds another hoop to jump through that wasn’t part of our deal.
They know we don’t have the resources of a big corporate business – so they know they can keep increasing demands until we give up. And we’re sick of them not upholding their commitments despite us paying our rent every month.
So, we’re moving – to an awesome landlord who is cannabis friendly and who supports local businesses.
We hope you’ll support our decision and help us stand up against this bullying!
When?
Sometime in November – as soon as the OLCC finishes their part.

With Change Comes Opportunity
We know change can be annoying, but there will also be lots of improvements, like:
- Easier parking & more of it
- More registers, so less wait time
- Easier traffic access in & out, from both Powell Blvd & Foster Rd
- More space for product
That new “No left turn” off Powell was really inconvenient- now you can turn off Powell from both directions again!
And by the way,
We noticed y’all have been calling us “TJ’s Arcanna” for short
So we’re just going to own that from now on. We like it, it’s simpler.
“Arcanna at TJ’s” felt like it represented what we were doing – bringing Arcanna’s Industry Menu into the TJ’s stores – but “TJ’s Arcanna is way easier to say and remember. Live and learn!
In case you missed what happened with Arcanna
We brought their Industry Menu over so it didn’t die. That’s it. No “buying Arcanna.” No “corporate merger.”
Dang you guys… we are impressed. The rumor mill has IMPRESSIVELY run its course here.
Here’s straight from the horse’s mouth:
We didn’t buy Arcanna. They weren’t for sale. They were closing. Which meant the 40% Off Industry Menu would die. We thought that was sad. So we decided to take it and bring it over to TJ’s, with the owner’s blessing. That’s all. Nothing more.

Q: What's the new address, and how do I get there?
The new address for TJ’s Arcanna is:
4124 SE 60th Ave., Portland, OR 97206
From the old location, it’s just 16-ish blocks if you’re heading west down Powell Blvd. Make a left on either 60th or 62nd and we’re a few blocks down on your left.
If you’re coming from the waterfront direction, we’re actually closer to you now! Just make a right on 60th and you’ll see us on your lefthand side a few blocks down.

Q: When is TJ's Arcanna moving to the new location?

Q: Will you be closed for any period of time in between?
It’s possible we may need to close for 1 day in between, depending on how quickly we can move inventory over compliantly and get a thumbs up from the OLCC.
But we’re really trying to do a seamless transition.
If we do need to close, we’ll text everyone on our Exclusive Access list and let them know what to expect.

Q: Didn't Arcanna already just move?
TJ’s has always been located at the same address on Powell Blvd, but when Arcanna was closing, we adopted their Industry Menu into our store so it didn’t go away altogether. So technically, for Arcanna customers, it feels like a move already happened, since the Arcanna menu moved to TJ’s.
Now, the whole thing is moving to our new location on SE 60th, between Powell Blvd & Foster Rd.
If you’re one of the dedicated customers who already moved from Arcanna’s old store to come see us at TJ’s, thank you so much! And we hope you’ll continue to come support us with this move.

Q: Will hours change?
A: Nope hours stay the same. We open at 8am and close at 9:30pm every day. That means before work, and after work – we’re open. Come on over!
The only days we’re closed are Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Q: Will my favorite budtenders still be there?
A: Yes – staff is not being impacted by this change! Everyone’s coming to the new spot!
